NEW TRIBAL DISPENSARY OPENS IN SHURZ, NEVADA

Partnership with Tribal Cannabis Consultants revitalizing Walker Point Tribe

February 16, 2021; Reno, NV – The Walker River tribe expands its cannabis operations on Feb. 20th with the opening of its first dispensary. Working with Tribal Cannabis Consultants, the Tumatzekwae Nobe (Green House) Dispensary will offer an array of cannabis products and is open to anyone with a medical marijuana card.

With gambling legal in Nevada, Native American tribes have found a better competitive foothold and economic driver in the cannabis industry. Tribal Cannabis Consultants have worked with the tribe for four years and initially established a grow facility for Walker Point.

“As the largest land mass tribe in Nevada we opened the grow facility first here rather than a dispensary,” said Cassandra Dittus, co-founder of Tribal Cannabis Consultants.

The Walker Point tribe produces their own line of cannabis products, including a soon to launch cartridge product. All of its products, along with those from other tribes like the Lovelock, Ely and Yerington will be available in the new dispensary.

The dispensary is expected to employ 10 community members and the tax revenue generated will bolster the economy of the tribe. According to Dittus other tribes who they have helped open a dispensary see tax revenues over the years in the six figure range.

The new dispensary is located at 4085 U.S. Hwy 95 South, Shurz, NV, 89427. For more information, visit tribalcannabisconsulting.com
