Marijuana Industry Trade Association Discusses the Future of Lab Testing in the Arizona Cannabis Industry on July 9th

PHOENIX, Ariz. (June 26, 2020) – Cannabis policy experts will discuss the future of lab testing in the Arizona cannabis industry at the next Marijuana Industry Trade Association (MITA-AZ) virtual town hall meeting slated from 4 – 6 p.m., Thursday, July 9th. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.

Presented by Level One Labs, Smart and Safe Arizona, C4 Labs and the Arizona Cannabis Lab Association (ACLA), the event will focus on Senate Bill 1494 which goes into effect in November. The new law requires mandatory marijuana testing for contaminates, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides through state-licensed testing laboratories.

Panelists include: George Griffeth and Jenny Corso of Level One Labs, Ryan Treacy of C4 Labs, Dr. Hope Jones of Adivina Bio Sciences, Maxime Kot of the Cannabis Business Advisors, and others including attorney Ryan Hurley, and dispensary owners Mark Steinmetz, Steve Cottrell.

The discussion will be moderated by Demitri Downing, founder of MITA-AZ and PolicyQuake. Panelists will be answering questions from the public. Pre-registration is recommended. Tickets and information available at www.mita-az.org.

Panelists will discuss the latest in testing technology and how their operations are prepared for the new initiatives. Consulting group the Cannabis Business Advisors will share best practices on how to incorporate these standards into marijuana businesses through their Arizona SB-1494 Implementation Package.
